Reserve, 2008
Our 2008 Reserve was and exploration into long aging to sculpt the wine and define a certain level of finesse. Only time can produce the complex layers and aromatics woven into the Reserve red blend. Stave 28 Reserve is a mix of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petite Verdot. The wine was created as 3 solely independent wines with the idea of building the puzzle in the barrels and the bottle.

No. 10, 2012
In 2012, Stave 28 welcomed Jared and Dan in to the fold and together we produced and excellent Cabernet Sauvignon & Cabernet Franc blend. The fruit was farmed in the famous Chalk Hill AVA.  Equal parts Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc were co-fermented to seamlessly join the two flavor profiles. We selected French oak and American oak barrels to age this blend and let the wine improve for 3 years in barrel before releasing it. Wine #10 is a further extention of the Stave 28 "Reserve" concept. Often, the wines of Stave 28 are wound up and require an extra year to express themselves correctly. Over time we have come to know our wines and how they bloom and unfold to something only time can create.

2013 was a great vintage in the Napa valley for Cabernet Sauvignon. We had the fourtune to work with fruit from several areas in the valley. Each vineyard making a contribution to define the elegant lines of the Cascade bottling.
Cascade presents rich dark berry flavors, spiced floral aromatics and a silky oak finish that rewards us with elegance and length. We feel the Cascade is a style of Cabernet Sauvignon perfectly suited for roasted or grilled game and dense full favored courses.
